Day 107: Thanks for the Lift Card

Today I got to go hang out with some of my Mom's group for a craft and playdate. Max played while I stitched the background on this card - so fun!

This is from the new Mojo Monday Sketch. I was tempted to use my fav Doodled Designs, but I've done a bunch of those lately, so I went looking for something different. Then I found Lifting Spirits and I knew what I wanted to do. The background paper is trimmed from the My Crush for Her book. I stitched the background with two strands of shiny gold thread.

When I went to color the stamped images, I went old school. I pressed my closed ink pad to deposit ink in the top, then used a waterbrush to paint on the color. I love this kind of quick faux watercolor. I added details using a White Gel Pen and a gold marker. Then I stitched on my Banner sentiment, adding foam tape to the center to make it look more wavy.
