Day 195: Love This Life Card

I'm taking a little break from the Pocket Scrapbooking shares tonight to show you another September SOTM watercolor card.
I just did a quick wash of purple from the bottom to the top of a panel of watercolor paper. It was so easy to get this ombre using the fattest brush and watercolor paints! I stamped a floral spray from the Sept SOTM in Memento Tuxedo Black. I added a strip of Nevermore (Halloween) paper along the edge - can't even tell it's supposed to be a spider print, eh?
I added my sentiment images from two of the Hello, Life stamp sets available through the National Stamping Month promo. I love these sets so much! The font mixes are so fresh, and the little images included are very sweet and trendy. I've been doing a lot of mixing and matching with these sets.  The glitter hearts are from the new black Fundamentals assortment
You can find all the details on these three fabulous sets right here. Happy National Stamping Month!

Goodie for my team!

Boy, I am stamping late tonight! I've got all kinds of holiday goodies to post soon, but tonight, after club, I wanted to whip out a little goodie for my team members who will be attending a big day long training with me tomorrow hosted by my awesome upline Ginni! I love these stamp camp team meetings - you get to stamp all day, learn about my favorite thing (CTMH in case you can't tell!), and I get to spend the day with my team - what could be better?

As it's very late, I decided to keep it simple. I used the new Love Life stamp set combined with Card Chatter-Thank You. I stamped the big flourish in Grey Flannel Ink. Then I added the big stars inked in Moonstruck ink, stamped off on scrap paper, and re-inked in Moonstruck by rolling the tips in the pad. A small second generation Moonstruck star plus bitty Grey Wool stars completed my corner stamp embellishment. I accents with dots of Silver Glitter Glitz - stars should shine!

I embossed a gutter for the sentiment across the top, something I saw on Lisa Johnson's beautiful blog. I think the subtle embossed lines really set off the sentiment and look so elegant! Then I added the sentiment stamped in Moonstruck and Grey Wool. I love how Card Chatter gives you so many options to finish off the Thank You sentiment!

Off for a bit of sleep before the big event tomorrow. Good night, Stampin' Friends!

Mojo Monday 203

I'm so excited - a Mojo Sketch I finished on Monday! As soon as I saw it I knew I needed to go grab my new Roxie papers and get me some super girlie stamping fun! Plus I have a birthday party to attend this weekend, and I wanted a special card for a good friend, so...

Don't you just love the water colored blooms on the Roxie papers? In a houseful of boys, I just can't help but appreciate something pretty and pink!

I Stamped the background of the card with a dotty scallop stamp from D1482 Love Life in second generation Tulip ink so it wouldn't be loud. I layered the spiral stamp from that set in 1st and second generation Black ink over top the scallops.

I added rolled hearts and flowers from Love life  - rolling is one of my absolute favorite things! To Roll, you ink a solid image stamp in ink, stamp it onto scrap paper, then roll the edges back into the same or another ink before stamping the image on your project. I did some piercing around the scallop embellishment base image, and added one of our NEW Just Blooms Flutter butterflies. A bit of stitched ribbon from our new Red Ribbon Rounds collection and some Grey Pearl Opaques finished off the card with style.

Love this sketch? Play along at Mojo - find the sketch here!

I also posted this card to the Heart To Heart Challenges blog for the birthday challenge!
