It's been a rollercoaster of a year...

Hello, Stamping Friends! Is anyone still out there? It's only been well over a year since I posted, heck, since I've crafted regularly. My desk is literally buried in half completed projects, cards, wall hoops, and command strip velcro pieces. If you want to know more about my personal journey, I'll add some details below. It's clear enough that I lost my crafting mojo, and even getting supplies out to craft was no guarantee I'd make anything. When I was asked if I wanted to try out Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge again, my brain lit up! Yes, that's what I need...a committment, a goal, something to DO. I felt so adrift this last year, never knowing what to do or even how to plan for anything. I cannot even express how good it felt to shove a clear spot into my mega mess of a desk and just make a card last night.
I apologize for the image quality. I need to figure out what I did with my shot box. I literally didn't even know where my laptop was to write this post. I haven't put away any of the craft supplies I've gotten for months. So I sat down and used what was closest and able to be reached easily. The grid paper is from an old holiday paper collection, but I'm loving all the diagonal plaids you see in the newest lines lately. Collecting craft supplies and using craft supplies are two very different hobbies. I softened the pull of the black and white background with some vellum. I stamped that vellum with a sentiment in versamark (You brighten my day), and powdered it with some irridescent barely there powder that photographed very blue.

I was aiming for a black, white, and gold color combo for the Color Dare Triple Play Challenge, and I swear that butterfly is black and iridescent. I used the leaves, sentiments, and butterflies from Smiles from the Garden. I do have the adorable matching die cuts, but for this I trimmed them out by hand, very close along the stamped edge. Then I detailed the butterflies with gold gel pen, gold shimmer brush, and iridescent powder. I added lots of little sparkles from my stash, which is organized by colors. I love the little black and gold flower sequins (which I think I got from here.) There's plenty of gold stickles daubed about, too. I love the simple elegance of the color combo, plus it's fun to see the slimline cards back! I so appreciate Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge for having me back, and I hope you'll come out and play with us again, too! I'm making plans to stick to my crafting schedule again finally, because it's not just fun but it is so, so good for my mental health and wellness.

I'd love to read your pandemic stories as well, friends, if you want to share them in the comments below. Sending hugs to y'all!

MY PANDEMIC "HIGHLIGHTS"....I guess we can call it that?!
Since February of last year I know we've all been on a rollercoaster of unprecedented events. On my personal rollercoaster we've discovered that my family was only gluten intolerant (not celiac!!) and that our protocols had finally healed us enough to allow us to eat gluten again. We were almost a month into our gluten challenge when the lockdown. aAt first we were all like "oh, sure, just a couple of weeks". I gave my youngest permission to wear nothing but jammies until it was over...and it was over a year before real clothes touched that child again. My dear MIL went into hospice shortly after we started to feel like we could handle that first round of distance learning. We were lucky enough to be able to keep her at home, so she was surrounded by people who loved her for her last days. I only wish we'd been able to help her sooner, because it was such a shock to lose her so soon.

After a summer spent indoors at home, we did an online academy for the boys for the whole of last school year. I love my children dearly, but sitting at our table trying to help them through 9th, 7th, and 5th grade was not something I ever anticipated as a mother. In a previous career life I was a music teacher, and I've always been an excellent student. That experience in no way prepared me for the whirlwind of teens forced to sit at home with no where to go, no breaks from their siblings, and no rest from the endless school assignments (and the mother who couldn't figure out how to let it coast). We all learned a lot of lessons last year, and thank goodness for online counseling, xboxes, and coffee, because most of our important findings had nothing to do with school.

My goal shifted from "we are gonna ace these lessons" to "we are gonna come out of this stronger as a family". We got a dog...which is now permanently attached to my hip like velcro. I gardened successfully for the first time in my life. I rescued plants, grew them from seed, and even managed to grow some veggies that were edible this year. I worked on my mental health, adding new tools (medication and tapping) and letting go of old crutches like my need to DO ALL THE THINGS!!! Most projects were started and abandoned each day - so many half done crafty things, home projects, even a garden path. I stopped to play with the boys, to cuddle, to watch a movie, to take a nap. Ahhhh, naps. Seriously, I never used to be able to nap. My brain simply COULD NOT STOP. Naps are amazing.  I played Folklore on endless repeat. I joined a meal kit service, which is now one of my favorite things ever. I'm still trying to get over the deep seated shame I have over not getting all the things done, but most of the time I'm too busy cuddling/walking the dog/reading/napping to let the anxiety rule me like it once did. Plus halfway done is so much better than can't start unless I can make it perfect.

So that's me right now. I made a card. I shared it here. The photography isn't quite right. The butterflies made me heart happy. Writing this blog post makes me feel less alone. I'm excited to make something else, and working towards a clean studio space.

I wish all of you peace, happiness, crafts, and a nice nap.

Coffee Loves You Card

I love my life. I love my family. However...sometimes it feels like I need an extra day between each and every day to fit in anything I'd like to do as opposed to whatever is ON FIRE that day. Can days become 48 hours long? Or perhaps I could find an inter-dimensional pocket where time has no meaning...though I have to admit the first thing I'd do there is probably nap. No matter.... I will continue my quest to find both crafting time and blogging time. Coffee helps.
I just got the new Oh My Heart kit, and combined with this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge and one of my favorite sets ever, Perk Up (which is totally on sale for a screaming good deal right now, just sayin') could this BEEEEE any cuter? Like seriously, folks, adding wiggly eyes to anything is just adorable. Fred Meyer has these little plants in plain ol' terracotta pots right now but someone stuck wiggly eyes on all the pots and I'm super tempted every time I grocery shop, which is like 7 times a week.  I added some cute XOXO washi tape from my stash, and added a lot of sequins, glitter, and sparkles like this cutie is throwing up a handful of confetti. I have a feeling that little stitch stamp might be living on my desk for the foreseeable future.
After I pieced together the coffee cup and added the little arms (hooray!!) then I attached it to some white cardstock and fussy cut the whole shebang to help it stand out from the bold background. There's a pastel heart print in the packet that I'm currently hoarding because I love it more than anything...but I'm hoping to get some time to cut into it soon. I'm linking this project to the Heart 2 Heart Celebrate Good Times challenge, because what is more worth of celebration than Love and Coffee?

Coffee loves you TTHHIISS much, Stampin' Friends, and so do I. Hope you'll pop over to Atlantic Hearts and give this week's sketch a try!

Hey! Listen! Legend of Zelda Card

Happy New Year, Stampin' Friends! My youngest kiddo is a New Year's baby. He was a c-section, so the doctor wanted to know if we wanted to try for first baby of the year, but heavily pregnant and barely able to walk me was all OMG NO JUST GET ON WITH IT! Thus was born Max, lover of costumes and fancy clothes, supa sarcastic, and deeply invested in one fandom at a time.
Currently his deep obssession love is Legend of Zelda. So of course, he wants a Zelda themed birthday party, and he had a lot of say in how this invitation was made. I did start with this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge, but instead of florals and sentiments I was instructed to make triforces and to quote Navi, Link's fairy friend.
I used my Cricut to cut the card fronts, adding text to create the Navi quote, which I backed with blue paper, because apparently she's usually blue. We added rows of "bushes" to whack, and I created a triforce with the Shapes tool in design space.
Navi herself is just some vellum butterfly wings with a blue cardstock body. I painted it with the new Lagoon shimmer crush and finger painted on some blue stickles glitter gel. Inside we had the party details and some additional fairies. I wanted to do more, but Max was happy with his vision so off the invites went to his friends. We are having a sword training adventure class at his Martial Arts School, and he is so excited! I'm up to my elbows in treasure chests and cupcake toppers. Welcome to 2020!

Snowman Joy Card

Holiday greetings, Stampin' Friends! I'm poppin' by to share with you this cute shaker card I whipped up for this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge
Shaker cards are so much easier with CTMH's Shaker card supplies - foam tape and acetate circles, and Thin Cuts dies to match. I started with the Multi Circle Windows Thin Cuts die for my background, trimmed to size and mounted on a white cardstock base. I stamped a little snowflake in each window, then I created my shaker piece using the precut foam. I added sequins, glitter gems, and some adorably tiny snowflake nail art pieces to the shaker before topping it with the acetate.
Before adding the acetate topper I stamped the JOY sentiment in black ink and traced over it with Stickles glitter gel. I added my little snowman and some white glitter hearts to finish off this adorable Atlantic Hearts sketch challenge card. I hope you and yours enjoy this season of joy!

Happy Holidays Shaker Card

I know, I know...it's not Christmas time yet. Except if you are a crafter, it is time for holiday Bazaars and making handmade cards. I was playing with the Holiday Cheer Shaker Ornament kit, and I thought a removable shaker ornament would be cute on this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.
I didn't have a ton of time to craft, since I just got back from a long weekend at the beach with my family and some of my stamping pals. Over the weekend I completed all the card and pages from my latest Craft With Heart Subscription boxes. When I got home I looked at the shaker tags spread across my desk, grabbed some festive washi tape, then started taping and stamping the stripes from the sketch across my background. I had intended to leave the whole background white, but I couldn't resist a little penwork around the edges.
Inside the shaker I mounted a glossy, sparkly snowman image. I did a little surgery on his arms to make it look more like he was holding that sign. Then I filled the shaker with silver sequin mix, tiny silver baby sequins, and some white snowflake nail gems. Can't wait to make a few more of these shaker tags - my friend Elaine was making the cutest tags all weekend!

Ho, Ho, Ho Quick Card

Hello, Stampin' Friends! I've been working really hard recently on getting ready for the Mt. View Holiday Bazaar. It's a huge craft and gift fair, and I'm super excited to be going back for the second year in a row. I've got Holly Jolly spread all over my desk, painty fingers, and glitter on all the things...but the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge calls, so I grabbed some scraps of what I've been using and made this quick and easy holiday card.
I used the outer edge of the ornament banner sticker from the workshop kit to mask off the scalloped border, sponging it in with a soft craft brush. I stamped around it with snowflakes and stars from the Whimsical Holiday Set, then filled in the card front with an older, retried PML card, Aqua shimmer trim, and washi tape. I used another PML card for the snowflake square, and nabbed the Ho Ho Ho sentiment from the die cuts of that Holly Jolly Kit I've been using for so many non-scrapbooking projects.

I finished embellishing with a pink snowflake sticker (Holly Jolly kit), some small white snowflake nail embellishments, and red glitter gems. Then I went around the edges of the stamping and snowflake with a glitter pen, and also added some shimmery lines to the plaid pattern of the background.

The Mt. View Holiday Bazaar is on Saturday, November 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be arts and crafts, gift items, home decor, antiques, food and more. If you're in my area, I hope you'll stop by and say hi!

Hello again, Stampin' Friends

Hello, Stampin' Friends! So I can see by the date stamp that my last post was in May. It is now October. I'd love to say time flies while your having fun, but I'm not sure that's what I've been doing, lol. In Summer I have been focused on so many things: no school time with the boys, CTMH Convention in Utah, remodeling the second floor of our new house, traveling back and forth to California with the boys and my Dad(!), and then back to school...so basically life. I've been doing life...but in my crafting I've been literally FROZEN, unable to find the time, focus, energy, and drive all at the same time for far too long, because everything around was a bit of a fixer-upper.
Now that the new second floor is almost unpacked (and my new, bigger craft space is usable!), I am finally able to Let It Go and get my paws inky again. I have missed crafting so, so much. I've managed to squeeze in a bit here and there, but last night I sat at my new desk, made a card for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge, and I just felt so happy and at peace. I busted out the Whimsical Holiday stamps from this month's Holiday Cheer special. I paired those holiday images with Craft On papers, which are going to retire soon, but I have missed SO MUCH GOOD STUFF, so I'm gonna use whatever I have and whatever I want until I feel craft-satisfied. I will craft what I want!
I paper pieced the little Snow Dude, adding shimmer brush to his body and touches of marker color. The snowflakes were fussy cut and mounted onto glitter paper backgrounds (from an older Tim Holtz die set), but that adorable little swirl is from the Thin Cuts - Crafting Shapes die set which is literally to DIE for if you are any kind of crafter. I can't even with how sad I was that I just opened this set like last night. Lots of shimmer brush, red baker's twine, and bitty sparkles finished off my first card in forever. If you want to build a snowman (card) of your own...or any other theme using this cute sketch, be sure to check out Atlantic Hearts this week. Okay, bye!

I've missed all y'all so much!

Whew! I don't know about you crafty folks, but 2018 was quite literally like living in the last season of a long running soap opera where the writers don't care anymore so they will literally throw anything at you. Good? Bad? Who cares - lets' throw it all in and see what happens! I lost two of my close family members. We moved from a house to an apartment so our landlord could re-rent the house he broke our lease to sell within weeks of our moving. We road tripped to Las Vegas and back in our ancient minivan...in the summer. We bought a house to combine households with my sweet in-laws. The previous owners would not leave, and it took a month of remodel work to turn it into a livable space. I decided to cap off the year with another 2 week road trip in the minivan, because once you start losing family members, it becomes so important to not just stay home.

2019 Came and I thought all right! We are FINALLY moving into the new place for reals...and then my hubby fell down the stairs of our apartment and broke his leg..and his ankle. I finished the move and unpacking while nursing the broken husband, tending the freaked out kids, and inhaling coffee as fast as I could. My in-laws moved in (yay!) on the same day I hosted a Launch event for CTMH. I have a TEENAGE boy living in my house now, people.  I haven't made hardly a thing EXCEPT for card kits or Craft with Heart Layouts because I could barely find glue. And while I do not in any way regret spending so much time and energy on FAMILY FIRST...I miss my inky paws and crafting therapy.
I was having brunch yesterday with a dear friend and I said again, for the umpteenth time, I'm sure I can start crafting again in May. Like next month will suddenly mean I'm completely unpacked and the boys are calmly, amazingly getting along, and the yard will be tidy, and am I serious? I went home and I thought no more waiting. Crafting is my therapy, peeps, and I am in serious need. So I sat down to look at all the things I've missed - almost two entire Seasonal Expressions, and this absolutely adorable Stamp of the Month. Ugh - two days left on this one and it practically has my NAME written all over it. (sob)  So today I went into my tidy and unused new stamp space and I MADE SOME THINGS. Like this card - using I Heart Us (which I bought extra of, even though its gone in two days because it is stinkin' fabulous!!) and that pretty April SOTM. I used a sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge, because my tired brain needs to be given a direction, lol. It didn't take all day, and I've still managed to prep potatoes for the rest of the week, make a big pot of spaghetti sauce, and clear 1300 photos off my phone.
I used the Mint and Black shimmer brushes  to flick speckles onto my stamped images. Do you HEART that arrow zip strip from I Heart Us?  I know I do! I can't promise to post every day (yet), but I am making a promise to myself that I will make time for the things that fill my cup in addition to all the stuff that HAS to get done. So if you missed me, I'm back. If you need to refill your cup, pop over to Atlantic Hearts and try on this sketch. Make time to do what you love, because you are so worth it, Stampin' Friends! ❤

Snowflake Peace Card

Hi, Stampin' Friends! I didn't mean to take last month off, lol, but life is what it is. I feel like this year has been a big year of change for me. Without change, there cannot be butterflies, and I sure do love butterflies...I appreciate your patience with me, Stampin' Friends, as I work my way through this cocoon. Getting my paws inky again always feels so good!
This week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge sketch is a cute one! I love working with sketches - it's like coloring with your supplies. Today I combined the new Boutique papers with the Winter Flurries Thin Cuts. I did the snowflake using the Sugarplum Glitter paper and it cut like buttah! Don't get me wrong - I LOVE my Cricut machine, but it sure was nice to just pop out an intricate snowflake with no fuss. I mounted it on a stitched circle cut and topped it with some silver thread, a button from my stash, and a Sugarplum Glitter Gem.
The silver embellishing thread add such a nice subtle touch of sparkle. I used the zip strip to pop a sentiment onto this card, topping it with a single word from the Christmas Bingo stamp set. I added just a couple dots of glitter gel to finish off the design and balance that large sparkly snowflake. This is a great sketch for using up scraps for sure! I hope you'll pop over to Atlantic Hearts to play along this week!

So much to be grateful for!

Good morning, Crafty Peeps! I am feeling particularly grateful today. My amazing kiddos are off to school again, so I can actually have a moment to miss their sweet faces. We just wrapped up a super fun summer, and while I loved all the action and adventure we stuffed into those months, I'm happy to get back into routines, fuzzy sweaters, and a new CTMH idea book which just went live!
This card is based on this week's sweet Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. I am now actually legal to share all the fun things I've been pawing in my limited summer crafting time, starting with one of my favorite stamp sets from the new book, Grateful Heart - Cardmaking. the papers I'm working with here are mostly from Grateful Heart as well, with the addition of a touch of (super retired) Timberline wood grain. I sanded everything on this card fairly heavily because I really love the rustic look of the sanded edges with the saturated colors.
That butterfly is just so dreamy! I added some arrows made from the Grateful Heart zip strip and scraps of paper from the background of the card. I had some blue epoxy bubbles left over from idea books past, and they went so nicely with this sophisticated color palette.
The butterfly itself I heat embossed onto watercolor paper from our new pad, and colored lightly with watercolor pencils blended with our clear shimmer brush.  It's so shimmery and pretty in real life, and I absolutely love the raised texture of the embossing for the edges of the butterfly.

It felt so good to sit down with a nice cup of warmth and get back to crafting again. I hope you'll hop over to Atlantic Hearts to play along with this week's challenge!

Thankful For You Card

I haven't been crafting much this summer, which is a very sad thing for me. Tonight I broke into some of my newest goodies, most of which aren't even available until the new idea book goes live in a couple of weeks. I figure whatever gets me creating again is what I'm gonna use...and this fall I want to really make a goal of making time for myself and my craft therapy!
Since there is an adorable new sketch over at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge, I decided I wanted to make something happy! I grabbed some papers from the upcoming Oh What Fun! papers, which is ostensibly for Christmas, but I have this thing about pink... Anyhoooo, combined with the September SOTM (I know, this entire project is all sneak peeks) I've managed a cheerful thank you card by re-purposing holiday items. You can also see a peek of the new stitches stamps coming soon. Seriously big heart eyes for that one!
I used a lot of bashful shimmer brush on the little candies and cocoa mug, along with a fair amount of clear stickles. The whole card sparkles in real life, which lifts my crafty spirits and brings glittery peace to my soul. I'm linking this project up to the Heart 2 Heart Challenges Cuteness Overload.

I hope you'll pop over to Atlantic Hearts to join in this week's sketch challenge fun!

I HEART Crafting Card

Have you seen this month's Stamp of the Month yet? If you are a crafter, this is gonna be your jam!
I combined the SOTM with this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. I used some of the (retiring soon) Central Park and Beautiful Friendship papers. I used a lot of pieces from the included PML cards, fussy cutting the banner and Good Times sentiment.
I added one of the sentiments from the SOTM, along with that awesome ampersand from one of the new Stacy Julian stamp sets (so adorable!!) to create my own custom sentiment cluster.
I also stamped the typewriter multiple times on grey cardstock and Beautiful Friendship floral paper to piece together my sweet typewriter. I added extra sparkle "banners" and some red glitter gel to finish off this fun card. I hope you'll hop over to Atlantic Hearts and play along this week!

Get Whale Soon Card

There's not much to beat a cute punny sentiment for me. I like fonts and poems and all...but really I'm all in for the puns at heart. That's why this Make Waves Stamp set is one of my favorite sets available right now.
I was working with this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge sketch, and it's so pretty and sweet. So I decided to combine that adorable whale with the Beautiful Friendship papers... I know it's probably not a standard pairing, but that line of paper has these beautiful navy tones prints. I stamped the whale onto the blue floral and added a nice coating of shimmer brush.  Instead of the oval I die cut some coordinating circles and Stitched circles to fill that area, and added in a lot of dots and die cut hearts as well. The hearts are from the inside of that heart border die, which is sadly retired, but remains a fast favorite of mine.
I pooped up my little whale friend with thin foam tape, and gave him one big wiggly eye for a little whimsy. Here you can see how I coated each little heart with Liquid Glass for a puffy sticker effect, and also added tiny dots of Liquid Glass into the heart confetti, too.

I hope you'll sail on over to Atlantic Hearts to check out this week's sketch and play along!

Just a Note to Say Thanks Card

I'm back from CTMH Convention 2018, and it was, as always, an amazing experience. My family came with me this year, so it was a two week road trip with lots of stops for fun and family along the way, topped off by the actual Convention and hanging with my fabulous team.  I've got so much to share with you, but I'm actually headed to Spokane tomorrow to camp (at a KOA...my nephew calls it Kamping with a "K") with my brother and his family, so I'm not quite ready to blog all of the fun stuff...plus the new book isn't available until this fall, so I'm going to be doing mostly peeks and having fun with the current goodies this summer...but before I go off to Kamp I'll share one card I made as soon as I got home. 'Cause I cannot resist...
I used this week's cute Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge sketch as a jumping off point. I cut into the new Grateful Heart paper packet I got at Leadership day of Convention. How much do you love that floral? We also got a new and totes adorbs typewriter stamp set which I totally love!
I stamped the typewriter three times, twice on Linen Cardstock and Once on some of the Grateful Heart patterned paper. Then I pieced the typewriter together and added some black shimmer to the key areas. I got the little grey daisies from one of the Grateful Heart packet's zip strips. My team made this card yesterday at our meeting, where we got to go over the Convention highlights and get started on fall planning. These ladies really fill my own grateful heart, and I feel so lucky to have each of them in my life. I am so grateful that my CTMH experience is made so much richer and even more fun because of my fabulous team!

The new AHSC sketch is adorable, and I hope you'll hop over there to play along this week!

Spaceman Birthday Card

Wow! June is just flying by this year. My oldest kiddo is a sixth grader and it has been a flurry of special activities, field trips, and his promotion yesterday.  I have been crafting...but mostly on some stuff I can't quite share yet. We also had a birthday party this weekend, so I whipped out a quick and easy space ranger card.
I started with this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge sketch. I added a panel of Central Park watercolor dot paper under the main white cardstock panel. I stamped the main panel around the edges with stars using the reds, blues, and yellows from the dotted paper, plus some pebble planetary sprinkles. I added the sentiment in the upper corner and popped up the birthday part on it's own little banner. Then I used my finger to dot on streaks of stickles glitter gel.
The spaceman set is still available from the last Expressions book, but if you want him, hurry because my guess is he won't be around much longer. I'm keeping him and his matching Thin Cut dies in my permanent stash because as a mom of three boys he'll always be relevant for us.I added some alcohol marker colored sparkles and bitty sparkles to his space suit buttons, and wiggly eyes because who doesn't love wiggly eyes? I'm linking this guy up to the Seize the Birthday Challenge, even though I skipped the Beachy Toppings theme for this week.

The boys are in school through Friday, which hopefully will give me enough time to finish up all my getting ready for convention projects. Wish me luck!

Freshly Squeezed Sunshine Card

Hello, Stampin' Friends! I wanted to squeeze in one more May SOTM project before this stamp set rolls away at the end of May. This week's Atlantic Heart's Sketch Challenge included a sweet wreath element, and I thought, "What about a wreath of lemons?" I'd already done yellow lemons, and this big pink Polka dot print from Beautiful Friendship caught my eye and I thought, "What about PINK lemonade?" Aaaaaand, then the sun just smiled down on this project!
I stamped a bunch of lemon clusters, which I colored in using Pixie Ink, Fern Ink, and my Bashful pink Shimmer Brush. After a satisfying session of fussy cutting (am I the only one who finds that soothing?) I trimmed a circle out of the pale pink dotted paper from Central Park and used the edge of the circle to adhere my lemons into a wreath shape. Before adding the lemons I stamped the dotted banner and tiny banner images from the SOTM across the circle.
I decided I wanted to have this be a cheerful Friend card, so I got out the Central Park - Scrapbooking stamps and stamped the cool 2 step Sunshine sentiment using Pixie Ink. How cool is that dropped shadow? I painted over the SUNSHINE letters with more Pixie Ink picked up with the Bashful Shimmer Brush, and did a faint skinny outline with a pale gray Zig Clean Color brush tip marker for a bit more emphasis. I trimmed out the SUNSHINE sentiment and popped it up with thin 3-d Foam tape. I stamped the FRESHLY SQUEEZED label image and carefully trimmed out the two words I wanted to complete my wreath center and sentiment.
I decided to embellish the bottom banner from the AHSC sketch a bit with some ink rolled lemon slices. I used more Pixie Ink picked up with the Bashful shimmer brush to deepen the slice centers. The Just for YOU sentiment (and that teensy butterfly) is recently retired from Chelsea Gardensin the last Expressions book, and I outlined it using the delicate dotted line image from the SOTM set.  I love all the little extras in this lemony SOTM set, like the dotted lines and banners and the striped straw that makes an excellent border (not to mention that large mason jar - swoon!).

I'm linking this sweet card up to the Heart 2 Heart When Life Hands You Lemons Challenge. I hope it brought you some some of the Freshly Squeezed Sunshine I felt while making it! #craftingismytherapy
