Welcome to our CTMH Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! We will be featuring September's SOTM called Limited Edition, which is an elegant (and useful) set of 21 stamps. I told one of my teammates that this isn't one of those stamp sets that jumps out screaming "Buy me!!!", but the individual pieces are so versatile and useful, it's a welcome addition to my stamp stash for sure!
If you have come here from DAWN'S BLOG you are on the right path. If you get lost, you may want to go back to Helen's Blog to find the entire list of blog hoppers! This month we have over 60 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing beautifully crafted artistic creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. Hopping is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!
I've already done a few cards using this stamp set, but one of my favorite images in the set is this little distressed tag, and I knew what I wanted to do with it as soon as I got my paws on it. My oldest little guy is starting Kindergarten this year, and it's a big deal for him (and for me). While my little 20 month old could care less if I'm in the room and has no trouble wandering off from Mom, my 5 year old has always had a very solitary and stubborn must-be-with-Mommy streak. He is insistent that he is NOT going to kindergarten. We had the same problem with preschool, and his first year of preschool (he did 2) he didn't speak to the teach pretty much the whole year. He participated and played and pottied himself all silently without so much as a "Hi" until he'd been there for almost the entire year. So I made Gabe a little comfort/all about me book to take to kindergarten with him! I figure he can look at the pics when he's feeling lonely and sad, and it'll have some info about him on it to help the teacher with my little clamshell boy.
I made the tags rainbow colored, stamped with the SOTM tag. You can cut the tags out with the new Cricut machine, too! I stamped the index card in red for the front cover too, and scored the edges a bit to make a pocket that I could tuck some laminated photos of Gabe's favorite things this summer and his family to flip through when he's feeling especially nervous.
Each tag went onto a matching cardstock or B&T covered chipboard tag (because my boy loves colors). I cut the tags out of extra chipboard from packaging that I've been hoarding forever - do you find yourself unable to recycle nicer chipboard too? I added the little bicycle image from the SOTM to the front cover, since he loves riding his bike every single day. Everything was accented with glitter glitz gel around the edges and embellishments (don't know WHERE he got his insanely passionate love of glitter...anyone got any ideas?) I made one card for each family member plus one for Gabe himself, because what little kid doesn't enjoy starting at pics of himself?
On the backs I used the Index card again for each tag page. On the cards I put info that Gabe himself gave me about his favorite things like colors/movie/books. On each family member's tag we put info about what he specifically likes to do with that family member. Some of them were so cute, like on Baby Max's card he noted he likes to eat lunch with Max because Max is so messy.
I finished off the tag ring with a rainbow of ribbons, plus some of his favorite perler beads, because he loves to sit and bead everyday. He's heavy into the patterning, so I did alternating black and purple beads, and made the ribbon long enough that he can slide them back and forth in case that repetition helps to calm him when he gets upset at school. I kept everything pretty simple so he could handle it as much as he wants. The SOTM tag was just the perfect size!
I did do a more traditional card with the bicycle and the same title you can find on my blog HERE. But this is the project that was "close to my heart" this month!
Now "Hop" on over to NICOLE'S BLOG to see what adorable thing she's conjured up! Be sure to visit all the Consultants in the hop to get some great crafty ideas for more fun projects! Remember, the September SOTM is only available until the last day of the month. Be sure to ask your CTMH Consultant how to get yours for just $5 or click here to shop now for this "Limited Edition" awesome basics stamp set.

Mojo Monday 206
I don't usually like to do 2 posts in one night, but I unexpectedly finished my Mojo Sketch card tonight, and I wanted to get it posted before I got too busy with Gabe's back to school stuff and the Blog Hop for Thursday. The sketch this week is Circle or Square, and since I had a pack of the new Kraft 6x6 square cards, I went with Square!
The Kraft cards come with a pretty scalloped edge, but since I wanted to make something fun to mail off a couple of the Monster bookmarks from my Open House this weekend, pretty scallops would not do! I trimmed off the scalloped edge and pinked it to match the monster bookmark teeth. The papers I chose are from that spooky cute new Mischief packet, and plus a bit of Wings on my bookmarks. I finished it off with the last bit of fence from my awesome new Felt shapes, and a sentiment from the August SOTM Wicked, which is only available until Wednesday!
To make the bookmarks I cut a 5x5 square of B&T paper. I scored it at 2 1/2 each way. Then I turned it diagonally/diamond shaped to trim off 1/2 of the two side squares crating 2 triangle flaps. Also cut off one of the remaining whole scored squares. You brad on the adorable googly eyes on the only remaining complete scored square, then fold up the other half of that square towards the back of the bookmark to cover up the brads so your bookmark won't snag on your pages. fold over the two triangle wings you made with the original side cuts and adhere those two triangles together to make a little pocket that will slide over the edge of your book pages. Makes it look like the little guy is chomping your pages! On the card I hung them off some squares of B&T so they would be easily removable with no adhesive stickiness for the little recipients.
BOO-YA! Have a wicked night y'all, and check back here Thursday for the September SOTM Blog Hop!

New workshops for September!
Hi, Scrappin' and Stampin' friends! I've got two new workshops up on the google calendar for September - can you believe it's only a few days away? I'm adding two extra monthly workshops to the mix, one for cardmakers and one for scrappers who want to get 'er done quickly!
I'm kicking off a monthly card workshop with this beautiful card box designed by my friend and upline Ginni. We'll be filling the box with 6 adorable cards made using that Pair-a-Phrase stamp set that I've been obsessed with, and lots of gorgeous new papers! Don't you just love the 3-D flowers on the front from our new Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge?
The workshop will be $25 for the box plus card with envelopes, or $15 if you've already purchased your Pair-a-Phrase stamp set. Each month after September we'll be making 4 new cards on the 2nd Wednesday of the month. RSVP by the 1st of each month to reserve your space!
The second new addition to the monthly line up is a PRECUT scrapbook workshop. Y'all know how much I LOVE Monthly Memories scrapbook club. I really do think it's the best deal in scrapbooking around! But 6 fully Wendy-embellished pages a month can be a bit daunting to complete at times... So on the 3rd Tuesday of each month we'll be making a beautiful (precut) 2 page layout with the goal that you could be in and out in about an hour - Short 'N Sweet! Scrapping! There will be a limit posted each month as to how many kits there are cut, and when you RSVP you can come here to assemble or take your kit to go. We'll learn to use a different embellishment each month too - this month it's ways to ink the beautiful new Just Blooms butterflies. There will be a drawing for the attendees each month as well, and you'll get extra drawing tickets when you bring pics to the workshop and complete your page that night. I allotted 2 hours for the workshop so you'll have time to enjoy the yummy dessert sweet that'll go with each month's workshop!
I gotta get pics onto this page, but I'm making one for each of my boys! The title for my page is "10 things I dream about 4 you" using the new 10 things stamp set, so there are 3 or 4 alternate titles you could choose as well. The price for this Short 'N Sweet scrapbooking experience is just $10 - all you have to bring is your favorite adhesive! This month I have 10 packets available- RSVP asap to reserve your kit!
Now there are 4 reasons to stop by my Stamp Pad and visit each month:
1st Friday: Monthly Memories Scrapbook Club
2nd Wednesday: Crazy 4 Cards
3rd Tuesday: Short N Sweet Scrapping
4th Saturday: Crafty Crop Day (with bonus optional workshops)
Woo - my new Stamp Pad is getting a lot of action! Hope to see you around soon!

Open House: Welcome to my Stamp Pad!
Wow - what a weekend! After Open House all day on Saturday we took the boys to the State Fair today bright and early. You can read about our adventure here. But for those who didn't get to come check our my new "Stamp Pad" this weekend, here's some pics of what we made, how it's organized, and what we ate, lol.
Here's a long shot view of my new room. I've got 4 table right down the center set up all the time. sometimes when I'm working I'll start at one end and as I finish a project I'll just keep scooting over a space until I reach the other end! The room actually curves around at the end and the boys preschool/Lego area is around the corner so they can play while I stamp (on occasion that works out...you know preschoolers).
You can see my wire bin storage for everything from CTMH order bags to candles and tiles waiting to be altered. On top of that I have stacking organizers for clear shoeboxes of coloring chalks, special adhesives, etc...
This is one of my recent additions - these adorable little glass jars from IKEA for my button storage. Becasue who doesn't have a button abundance storage problem? They were just 4 for $3.99, and I love looking at my rainbow of buttons!
Under the buttons you see my little bins of brads, sparkles, flowers and more. I haven't quite gotten everything labeled with my label maker YET...but they will be. They will be. Oops - my inner Yoda voice is peeking!
So here's two of the three hands-on projects we played with on Saturday. The other is the adorable hot air balloon card from my Moxie Fab post earlier this week. I did the masculine inchie card fro my team meeting using the September SOTM, then switched up this awesomely versatile card sketch into pink and green to go along with my favorite little owl this month from the Pair-A-Phrase stamp set. That double dipping CTMH is letting us do on the Pair-A-Phrase and the SOTM bonus font set is ending on the 31st, so if you've been thinking about it but haven't gotten back to me, time is running out...
We also made the cute little Monster corner bookmarks. When you slide him onto the page of your current read, it looks like he's munching up your page! I cut out his three layers of eyeball circles using my new big Cricut machine - woo! It was so awesome - in the past I'd be hand punching all those circles to prep the bookmarks, but now it's just hit the quantity and my personal assistant does the cutting for me. As you can see, I didn't give up my old school Sizzix machine yet - that thing is a tank, and I am just not ready yet...not quite...but my new Cricut has definitely won me over to the electronic age of diecutting!
Finally, the eats! We had prize drawings (3 per hour), and I fixed up these adorable owl cupcakes (think WHOOO's your stamp lady? lol) after seeing a bazillion permutations of them on Pinterest. My bows were fascinated by the owl cupcakes...Gabe (age 5) wouldn't eat one because he didn't want his cupcake to look at him. Ben (age 3) asked is the eyes were "Nemenems", ate off the eyes and nose, then made my hubby pick off the cookies before chowing. Max (20 months) ate everyone's cookies and no cupcake. To each his own!
Thanks to all of you who came out to support the grand opening of my new "Stamp Pad"! I'll be posting new weekly workshops for the calendar in a day or so - hope to see you stamping in my pad soon!

Moxie Fab Challenges
I've been racking up the projects this week getting ready for my Open House, but I did manage to squeeze in two of the daily challenges over at Moxie Fab for their week-long celebration of Card Ideas for Paper Crafters! It's a new special edition from those folks at PaperCrafts magazine, and I love me some PaperCrafts! I love the second card sketch so much, we're making it at the Open house now - such cute sketches! The challenges run through 9/19, so hop out there and play along!
The first challenge I created this week was for the Square sketch challenge. I used one of our cute Clear card bases and Roxie papers. You have to finagle the pieces a bit when working with a clear card so the adhesives won't show - I can't stand it when the adhesive shows! I hid the second half of the sentiment for the card on the inside under the flower, so you get a little surprise when you open us the card out.
I used the new Hooray Bouquet stamp set that matched perfectly with the new Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge. It was so nice to just be able to stamp the flower down and not fussy cut! And look at that adorable spiral center - I know we can make those by handcutting the flower, but it is so much easier and tidier to make when it's cut out for you. Hooray Bouquet indeed!
The second challenge sketch (Horizontal Sketch Card) made me giggle with delight. It's so clean and simple, but there's so many possibilities! I filled my squares with a bit of that pretty rose filled Roxie Paper. Then I stamped the Bicycle from this month's special Pair-A-Phrase stamp set and trimmed out just the basket. I added one of our pretty Pink Collection Buttons and some waxy flax and now I've got a hot air balloon! A little sparkle went onto the flower on my basket, and then I pierced around the outside of the card with my amazing new Piercing Ruler for a bit of extra texture.
We are SO making this one on Saturday along with 2 other projects, so if you didn't RSVP already, make sure you come early to get a hands-on kit! See you tomorrow!

Mojo Monday 205
Whew - I think that's a turkey of Mojo cards completed on an actual Monday! I had my team meeting tonight, so I was stamping and chatting CTMH all night - then after I hit my Mojo card in earnest. As soon as I saw this MOJO 205 sketch I knew I wanted to use the Believe Papers along with that adorable snowman from the August special Pair-A-Phrase Set. I've been percolating a card with those anyhow, and this sketch was just the thing I needed to set off to creation-land!
I stamped the Snowman from Pair-A-Phrase in Sky ink. then I made him a cozy little post-it mask and stamped the Index card from September's SOTM (sneak peek!) over top of him in Grey Wool ink. I used my Versamark pen and Winter Chalk palette to lightly shade my snowman. Then I detailed him up with Red and Stardust Glitter Glitz Gel. He even has little pink cheeks, and a swipe of glitz all along his tummy!
I stamped the heart on a bit of plaid scrap and sewed on the clear buttons. Then I trimmed off one of the scalloped stripes from the stripey B&T to make the border along the right side of the card. stitched cranberry ribbon for the bow, and the new Green Pompom ribbon for the bottom border. I sewed on the rest of the buttons, and curled up the ends of my waxy flax on the main big button using my piercing tool like a curler. A few more touches of glitter gel and now my card is ready to warm someone's heart!

Hot Hot Hot H2H Challenge
Since I didn't know the Heart 2 Heart Challenge blog at the beginning of this month, I'm doing the monthly challenges a bit out of order. I needed a bit of time to wrap my head around the theme of "Hot"...then tonight I was humming the song I sing to Max when I'm trying to get him to nap and I thought, "BINGO!"
So here's my "Hot" card - You are my SUNSHINE! I used the Dreamin' Paper Pack - still one of my favorite new packs! I added some random CS strips from my scrap drawer in Sunflower and Goldrush On top of the Sunset B&T to create the "rays", then added lines of Bronze Glitter Glitz dots for more glow.
I punched the sun layers using the CTMH 2" scallop punch and 1 1/4" circle punch. The actual sun center is punched from a bit of Typeset B&T actually - I liked the notebook lines on it when I stamped the beginning of the sentiment using Tiny Typewriter. Then I layered that onto Goldrush CS and tore out the center sun layer. Once all the layers were adhered together, I swiped Bronze Glitter Glitz around the center layer for more sunny sparkle...how happy am I that we have more colors of Glitter Glitz? I'm beaming!!
I stamped and cut out the Sunshine letters using Polka Dot Alphabet. The letters are all popped up with 3-D Foam tape. Finally, I shredded from hemp into the individual strands, then wrapped them around the bottom of the card and knotted it a few times with extra strands of hemp.
Hope that's HOT enough for y'all! More Dreamin' artwork is coming this weekend - scrap pages for September club. Stay cool!

Heart 2 Heart Challenges + Moxie Fab
Tonight I was checking out a cute CTMH challenges blog called Heart 2 Heart, and they are doing a CASE challenge - my favorite kind of thing! I always say that I'm a fabulous stamplifter! When you CASE something, you copy something about it - the color scheme, or the basic card design, and give it a tqist of your own.
Another fun blog I've been peeking at is called Moxie Fab, and they are having a Tuesday Trigger inspiration challenge right now - something clicked and I came up with this pink welcome baby card based on the colors in the Tuesday trigger, using Jody Gustafson's basic card design!
I sanded and inked the edges of all the pink cardstock. I used a new stamp set called Zoology, with these cute little solid animals and a ticket to fill up. I stamped the background repeatedly with the adorable little elephant in black ink, and the 3/4" Blush CS strip with a couple of the cute little line pattern stamps from Zoology - I know those are going to be so versatile! Then I knotted on some pink and yellow ribbons, and pierced those with a Pin Clip and one of the new beaded pins from the Bling Collection - love those! I topped my pin clip off with one of the new Bling Collection Rhinestone buttons - so sparkly in person. I used my pin clip to suspend my little "hello there" pink elephant ticket sentiment block, which is paper pieced. Topped off with a Just Blooms Flutter butterfly, and I'm done!
This was whipped out quickly just for fun, since I've been burning the midnight oil every night prepping for my upcoming Open House. Sometimes you just gotta stamp!

My New Card Tree!
Here's a little sneak peek of my new "stamp pad" before the upcoming Open House: my new card tree! I've had this idea floating in my head for a long time, but never had a space to make it before! I bought a big vinyl tree (found mine at Target) and added the quote (from ebay). Then I velcro dotted black clips all over the tree to hold my current card projects in a cute, easily photographed and changeable display! I'm so making a Christmas tree one for holiday cards in my entryway come Christmas time too!
I've got a plan to glitter up some adorable acrylix butterflies I found at Joann's...and possibly the clips as well! But first I gotta finish prepping the cool hands-on projects for Open House weekend! I am also testing out adding the Cricut Art Philosophy 3-D flowers to some of the branches - can you see my lone tester flower down in the lower left branches? See y'all on the 27th!
I'm linking this post to a fab new blog I found called Running With Glitter - don't you love it already? I mean, the name alone - so many fun ideas!

Thanks, Friend - more Pair-A-Phrase!
I was the lucky recipient of a beautiful piece of quilted artwork from my upline Ginni's wonderful mom, Barb. Barb is a gifted quilter, and I can't wait to hang her lovely quilt in my home. I used the Mojo Monday sketch (found HERE) to whip up a quick thank you card for Barb, using her favorite new paper packet, Sonoma. It's got all these rich purples and greens in it - lovely, just like Barb.
I used my favorite of the Sonoma papers for the background - love the pretty stylized floral background! I added faux stitching all around my card base, and on the embellishment focal points using my favorite new tool from the Fall catalog - the Ruler! I know, I know, not the sexiest tool, but this ruler is awesome. It's got a line of holes drilled into it to mark out large and small stitches plus a zig zag stitch - so now all my stitching can be even and look nice. Plus if you're in a hurry...as I was today, you can take a coordinating marker and drag it across the holes you pierced for faux stitching. The real holes with the marker line look very similar to real stitching, without a lot of time commitment - just what a busy crafter needs!
I finished off the card focal point with a couple of our new Just Blooms Flutter butterflies. Inked those up with Smokey Plum and Olive inks using my sponge daubers and topped them off with Glitter Glitz stardust gel and Mocha Opaques pearls. Now off to pop this in the mail before it gets lost in the shuffle of my crazy busy life!

I made a cute 4 1/4 inch square card inspired by a circle card I saw by a wonderful UK designer named Wendy McKee. I shrunk the card down to a square, and swiped all the circles on my card with black ink on the edges for more definition. Don't you love all the little patterns? This new paper is called Elemental, and it is so versatile!
I stamped a bunch of the images from Pair-A-Phrase in Black ink and heat embossed them with Clear powder for shine. Then I colored them using my watercolor pencils and my blending pen.
I grabbed the fancy bracket for my sentiment from a set called Made With Love, and popped up my Pair-A-Phrase sentiment with 3-D foam tape. I love to stamp my sentiment once full strength, then repeatedly until the ink is gone to give more dimension to a sentiment focal point.
I stitched around my card front with rainbow thread! I used the White floss from the Neutral Floss assortment and ran it through the four colors of ink that matched my paper using a sponge dauber. You just lay the floss onto your scratch paper, press the inked dauber on top and pull the thread through; repeat until you have the intensity you desire. What I like about this is when you separate the thread to stitch (I used 2 strands) you still get some white in there so it looks even more tie dyed! I also added a few stitches across the bodies of my butterflies to ensure they wouldn't be popping off and for more texture.
Final touches include a bit of glitter glitz for my embossed images, and Liquid Glass eyes for my owl so they look kind of googly. I swiped my card front and base with Black ink, then popped my embellished card front up on the card base with foam tape.
Love this amazingly versatile stamp set? So do I! Be sure to ask your consultant or CLICK HERE to get yours today. Don't forget, with minimum purchase you can get all 4 bonus stamp sets this month for just $5!! Now hop on over to PAMELA'S BLOG to see what scrumptious craftiness she's got in store for you!

Thanks for making me wiser!
I'm off today to a team meeting hosted by my fabulus upline, Ginni. She works so hard to make sure our team trainings are not only informational, but downright amazing fun! It also happens to be her birthday, so I am bringing her a little gift. I'm posting this to my blog after the meeting starts so she won't get a sneak peek, lol!
First off, the gift...I painted a simple wood frame with creamy white acrylic paint, then stamped on the flourishes and "LAUGH" with Staz-on ink in brown. The papers are cut from our new Roxy Kit - so girlie!
A piled high pleated ribbon flower was contributed by my downline Cathy - she always knows how to make a cool new flower. We popped a new Bling assortment rhinestone button into the center...I know I am not going to be able to get enough of those! I finished it off with a border of rhinestones and some pretty Pearl Opaques. Hope she likes it!
Now for the bag - I'm hooting with delight over this one. I saw a cute thing on Pinterest that lead me to a blog by Lisa Storms with the cutest theme party ideas! This bag had the perfect sentiment for my team leader, so I stamplifted it lickety split!
All the paper for this bag is still from the Roxie Kit - that's one Leopard print owl! I hand trimmed triangles for his forhead and beak, and popped up the hand printed sentiment, "Thanks for making me wiser!"
Now I'm off to the meeting - Happy Birthday, Ginni!

Mojo Monday 203
I'm so excited - a Mojo Sketch I finished on Monday! As soon as I saw it I knew I needed to go grab my new Roxie papers and get me some super girlie stamping fun! Plus I have a birthday party to attend this weekend, and I wanted a special card for a good friend, so...
Don't you just love the water colored blooms on the Roxie papers? In a houseful of boys, I just can't help but appreciate something pretty and pink!
I Stamped the background of the card with a dotty scallop stamp from D1482 Love Life in second generation Tulip ink so it wouldn't be loud. I layered the spiral stamp from that set in 1st and second generation Black ink over top the scallops.
I added rolled hearts and flowers from Love life - rolling is one of my absolute favorite things! To Roll, you ink a solid image stamp in ink, stamp it onto scrap paper, then roll the edges back into the same or another ink before stamping the image on your project. I did some piercing around the scallop embellishment base image, and added one of our NEW Just Blooms Flutter butterflies. A bit of stitched ribbon from our new Red Ribbon Rounds collection and some Grey Pearl Opaques finished off the card with style.
Love this sketch? Play along at Mojo - find the sketch here!
I also posted this card to the Heart To Heart Challenges blog for the birthday challenge!

Found: Cute Non-stick Fiskars Scissors!
I was so happy when I strolled into Freddy's today - my beloved non-stick Fiskars kid scissors are back, on SALE for $3.49 a pair, and now covered with adorable prints!
Why do I want a pair of kid scissors in my scrap kit you ask? These scissors are a must have if you like to trim apart anything sticky! Splitting glue dots or 3-D foam tape, trimming mats or ribbons flush to the page, cutting stickers apart to use only a piece... Don't get me wrong - there's nothing that my CTMH microtip scissors can cut...but it's so nice to keep them clean, shiny and sharp and let the non-stick kiddie scissors do the dirty work. My old non-stick scissors are practically worn out, so I got three pairs in this super cute polka dot. 3-D foam tape, beware!

Mojo Monday 202
Wow - a Mojo Sketch I finished before Friday! I love this sketch with the two little pennants - how adorable! Check out the sketch here, and play along too!
I thought of this big modern flower stamp as soon as I saw the card sketch. It's from the new Dreaming WOTG kit, which we'll be using for Monthly Memories club in September. This paper is so...well, dreamy! I love the blues and golds and oranges together - so my paper pack!
I stamped the big border stamp in multiple generations down my card base using Pacifica Ink, and layered Goldrush leaves and Bamboo dandelions around the corner. I don't know if you can see it, but I pierced a hole in the center of every other circle for more texture.
I stamped the big flower twice onto transparency film with Brown staz-on, then filled the back with a layer of the new Bronze Glitter Glitz Gel. When that dried I trimmed out the two flowers, flipped them over to attach in the center with a Shimmer Brad. I outlined the inner rim of the flowers with more Bronze Glitter Glitz and added some circles of glitz to the shimmer brad. It's so sparkly and pretty in real life - I wish I could have captured it better with my picture!
Finally, I popped up the center with 3-D foam tape after I stitched around the outside using my NEW piercing ruler! If you were at convention with me you know I was over the moon about the new ruler - silly, I know, but it is SO much easier to stitch now!
Thanks for popping by - and don't forget to comment on my previous August SOTM Blog Hop Post! I'll be drawing a winner of that FREE stamp set this weekend!
