Day 73: Happy Birthday Floral Card

I've got another sweet Blossom paper card for you today.
Today I was inspired by the new Muse Card club challenge.  I used the inspiration photo as a sketch. I widened the center dividing strip, since I was using glitter paper. My philosophy is everything is better with glitter!
I used three stamp sets on this. The big circle is from Doodled Designs. The big flower is from Shower Flowers. The sentiment and the wreath spray is from Happy to Be Friends. I made some with the birthday sentiment and a few with the Happy Mother's Day sentiment. I love the assortment of sentiments in that set!
Tomorrow I'll be playing with the new Taste of Summer goodies that CTMH is offering especially for National Scrapbooking month. See ya soon!

Day 72: AHSC Floral Blank Card

I am loving the bright, happy colors in this blossom paper lately. It just makes my heart happy when I'm working with pretty paper!
Today I used the new Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge sketch. It was sweet even before I added the blossoms from the Shower Flower stamp set.
I added some stitching into the block at the bottom, using strips instead of a solid block. The main flower is popped up with foam tape. I colored some Sparkles with a Shin Han marker and filled the tiny flower centers. Happiness!

Day 71: Hello Blossom Card

Wow! Time got away from me today. After being away from home for most of two days my littles were craving some mom time. We went to the park and to grab a (gluten free) cone at a fabulous local shop called the Scoop, so I didn't get to my stamp room until later tonight. It was fun, though, and I'll take all the extra hugs I can get!
When I did get to my table, I knew what I wanted to do. I used the new sketch from Retro Sketches to whip up this cute card. I love this sketch for B&T papers with big pretty patterns that you don't want to cover up, like this print from the Blossom paper pack.
I especially love the diagonal rainbow stripe on the zip strip! I attached this with a white concho. Remember those? Then I tied on some baker's twine in a bow, and topped it off with some epoxy bubbles.  I'm linking this up to the Just Us Girls Twine Challenge too.

I got excited and made another card using this paper that I'll share tomorrow. Good night!

Day 70: My New Business Cards

So I knew I wanted new business cards for the Making Connections event I attended this weekend and the upcoming Heirloom Pro stamp show. I usually use a premade template from Vista Print, because I like to have pictures on my cards and that seemed easy. But this time I wasn't feelin' any of the designs.
So I opened up a blank canvas in PicMonkey and set the size to 2100 x 1200. I designed my card using lots of my favorite glittery projects, and some funky fonting that made me smile.
I used to put a listing of my classes on the back, but this time I felt inspired to add a quote that speaks to me about why I love this craft so much.  When they arrived just days before I headed to Seattle I was so pleased to have a card that felt, well, like me.  I just got home from Seattle and Making Connections was so uplifting and awesome. I hope you did something awesome today!

Day 69: So Cool Card

I'm off to Seattle for the CTMH Making Connections Event! I was up late working on Heirloom Pro stuff and swap cards, and this is one of the cards I made while burning that midnight oil.
I was cruising Pinterest and I found this cutie little ice cream card by Kymona Tracey.  I thought of the June SOTM immediately, and within minutes I had this cute card completed on my desktop. I had a lot of fun shading the popsicles with my Shin Han Markers, and then I topped them off with some glitter gel. The sentiment is from the May SOTM.

You can find a ton of May SOTM ideas on this month's blog hop. See ya back here tomorrow after I get home from Seattle!
