Sweet as a Cupcake Birthday Card

I know I may have already made a ton of cards using this adorable Sweet Birthday stamp set. It was already one of my favorite stamp sets, but now there's a matching Thin Cuts set so I don't have to fussy cut that cuppie anymore. Swoon!! 

I made this card using the new sketch over at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. I chose a base of Sea Glass cardstock that I stamped with one of the sentiments in Sea Glass ink. Then I layered on a panel of that pretty Swan Lake floral paper. I used a lot of ribbons and shimmer trims for the side banners.

I colored the cuppie with my Shin Han alcohol markers. and added a bit of clear glitter gel. I couldn't resist topping this cutie patootie off with some large wiggly eyes. I love him even more now that I don't have to cut him out every single time. Check out all the new Thin Cuts here, while supplies last. Tricks and Treats Blog Hop

Welcome to this month's Blog Hops with Heart Tricks and Treats Blog Hop! This hop has lots of creatively awesome Halloween treats for your craft loving heart. You may be arriving here from BECCA'S BLOG. A complete list of hoppers can be found at the bottom of this post.

I made some super sparkly pumpkin decor using cream colored craft pumpkins and Cricut cut paper flowers. I used washi tape to create a dip line, then painted the pumpkins with mod podge and coated them with chunky gold glitter. I added a second coat of mod podge and sprinkled on some tiny gold sequins. A third coat of mod podge sealed in the sparkly goodness!

On top of each pumpkin I used Liquid Glass to secure a variety of rolled paper flowers cut from Sweet Leaf, Glacier, and Thistle cardstock. I inked the edges of each flower before rolling and securing with Liquid Glass. After the flowers dried then I attached them to the pumpkins, tucking in sprigs of leaves cut from Whisper cardstock as I felt the need.

Warm Your Heart Card

I love that it's holiday card making season. Holiday cards are hands down my favorite kind of cards to make. 

I combined a classic green and red color combo with two kinds of gray, pulling the gray tones from the woodgrain background in the card base. I was working off the new sketch from RetroSketches. I stamped the Colonial White Panel with images from Woodland Wishes in Fern, Ruby, and Slate. Then I stamped over the images using the star from the October SOTM  using Whisper ink to fill in the background with swirly goodness. 

I embossed the SOTM sentiment in white onto a Ruby banner, which I threaded through a Thin Cut heart. I topped off my banner with a wooden snowflake accented with some gray enamel gems. I couldn't resist a little hand drawn stitch line around the card base to frame the stamped print.

Mixed Metallics Celebration Card

I wouldn't normally do this, but I have a little November SOTM Sneak Peek to share today. You can't get this stamp set until next month, but I was inspired by the CAS(E) This Sketch challenge, so I'm sharing  this sparkly celebratory toast of a card today. 

I used one of my favorite new collections called Uptown Fundamentals. I accented the gorgeous gold foil stripe and gold dot vellum with Black, Slate and Sea Glass tones for a simple but elegant look. This card has a LOT of shimmer and shine!

That leaf is a cricut cut in Slate cardstock that I sprayed with a silvery glitter spritz. The Sea glass martini glass and black bow also got a shine from a generous application of shimmer pen. I added some iridescent bitty sequins as festive little bubbles in the glass. Cheers!

Magic of Christmas Card

I know it's early for the holidays, but it is totally time to start making holiday cards!

This card is inspired by the sketch over at Mojo Monday. My stamped images are from Season of Magic except for the snowflake which is from Woodland Wishes. I filled in the green panel with that snowflake tilted on an angle. The white background is embossed with a snowflake embossing folder.

I stamped and cut out the flowers and leave individually. I dotted the flowers and wreath with red glitter gel for a bit of sparkle that won't affect mail-ability. I love holiday card making season!
