Hot Hot Hot H2H Challenge

Since I didn't know the Heart 2 Heart Challenge blog at the beginning of this month, I'm doing the monthly challenges a bit out of order. I needed a bit of time to wrap my head around the theme of "Hot"...then tonight I was humming the song I sing to Max when I'm trying to get him to nap and I thought, "BINGO!"

So here's my "Hot" card - You are my SUNSHINE! I used the Dreamin' Paper Pack - still one of my favorite new packs! I added some random CS strips from my scrap drawer in Sunflower and Goldrush On top of the Sunset B&T to create the "rays", then added lines of Bronze Glitter Glitz dots for more glow.
I punched the sun layers using the CTMH 2" scallop punch and 1 1/4" circle punch. The actual sun center is punched from a bit of Typeset B&T actually - I liked the notebook lines on it when I stamped the beginning of the sentiment using Tiny Typewriter. Then I layered that onto Goldrush CS and tore out the center sun layer. Once all the layers were adhered together, I swiped Bronze Glitter Glitz around the center layer for more sunny sparkle...how happy am I that we have more colors of Glitter Glitz? I'm beaming!!

I stamped and cut out the Sunshine letters using Polka Dot Alphabet. The letters are all popped up with 3-D Foam tape. Finally, I shredded from hemp into the individual strands, then wrapped them around the bottom of the card and knotted it a few times with extra strands of hemp.

Hope that's HOT enough for y'all! More Dreamin' artwork is coming this weekend - scrap pages for September club. Stay cool!

Your card is wonderful! The sunshine is definitely HOT! I like the dots of bronze glitz gel along the rays. The touches of blue helps to cool things off. Thanks so much for joining us at H2H- and you can do the challenges in any order! (Glad you found us!)
