Mojo Monday 202

Wow - a Mojo Sketch I finished before Friday! I love this sketch with the two little pennants - how adorable! Check out the sketch here, and play along too!

I thought of this big modern flower stamp as soon as I saw the card sketch. It's from the new Dreaming WOTG kit, which we'll be using for Monthly Memories club in September. This paper is so...well, dreamy! I love the blues and golds and oranges together - so my paper pack!

I stamped the big border stamp in multiple generations down my card base using Pacifica Ink, and layered Goldrush leaves and Bamboo dandelions around the corner. I don't know if you can see it, but I pierced a hole in the center of every other circle for more texture.

I stamped the big flower twice onto transparency film with Brown staz-on, then filled the back with a layer of the new Bronze Glitter Glitz Gel. When that dried I trimmed out the two flowers, flipped them over to attach in the center with a Shimmer Brad. I outlined the inner rim of the flowers with more Bronze Glitter Glitz and added some circles of glitz to the shimmer brad. It's so sparkly and pretty in real life - I wish I could have captured it better with my picture!

Finally, I popped up the center with 3-D foam tape after I stitched around the outside using my NEW piercing ruler! If you were at convention with me you know I was over the moon about the new ruler - silly, I know, but it is SO much easier to stitch now!

Thanks for popping by - and don't forget to comment on my previous August SOTM Blog Hop Post! I'll be drawing a winner of that FREE stamp set this weekend!

Hi Wendy,

I really like the brown/blue/burnt sienna colors of your card - you created a shabby-chic look and made the sketch look incredible. Thanks for the step by step of all the things you did to create your lovely card.

Have a good week!
