I know I saw this every month lately, but how is it already the end of the month? Where did February go? I don't know, but I'm already looking forward to March. Today my team is coming over for our monthly Monday Motivations meeting, and we're making this card using the March Stamp of the Month!
I have to admit, I was feeling stumped on this stamp set. I love the beautiful damask images, and the swirly accents, and LOVELOVELOVE the mixed font sentiments. But I had already scrapped 6 pages that day, and nothing was coming. So I cruised on over to Moxie Fab World, where I found the Cure for the Winter Blues Challenge, and my mental block faded away!
I did the whole card in just Outdoor Denim ink! I stamped the largest circles in third generation , inking and stamping the stamp onto scrap paper twice before huffing it with warm air and applying it to my project. Outdoor Denim ink is such a nice rich blue that you can often get 4 or more impressions of lighter shades. I cut a cute scalloped border and some basic circles using my Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge (FREE when you join my team in March - still can't believe that!!).
Then I faux letterpressed my scalloped border. I brayered a cuttlebug folder with Pearl Paint, them impressed the painted deign into my border embellishment. The cardstock circles got sanded heavily, then stamped in second generation Outdoor Denim ink. A smidge of our new Baker's twine, and my stamper's block was demolished! Thanks. Moxie Fab...and see ya tonight, team!

Beautiful card. I'm not a very flowery person, so I LOVE what you did with the outdoor denim and generation stamping! Thanks for showing me new ways to stretch my stash!
Hey Wendy! Thanks for linking this up to the Cure for the Winter Blues Challenge in the Moxie Fab World! I'm so glad you joined in on all the fun! :)
