Today I'm sharing from my Geek Love Board! I'm a geek, married to a geek, with three little boys who are likely to be geeks, so there's a lot of Geek Love in our house. I was pleased as punch with my photos for this layout...Max (age 3) had fallen asleep on his dad's back while watching the boys play Justice League all together on the iPad. I ran to grab my camera...then made my poor sweet hubby inchworm backwards with the sleeping baby on his back until I could get in there to take my pic. I made the collage in Black and white, then sent it off to Walgreens to be printed on a card so that even my journaling would be ready made for me to scrap. Inside the card instead of a message I did additional journaling for another layout I haven't yet completed. Waste not, want not!
So this overlay from the Artbooking cartridge (available August 1!) was so much fun to work with...I backed the various elements with bits of B&T, Red Shimmer Tape, washi tape, and even inked Dimensional Elements Hexagons! I topped it off with lots of ProPlayer assortment bling and black sequins that I filled with Red Glitter Glitz. I'm linking this layout up to the 2 Sisters Make it Sparkle Challenge - even boys deserve lots of sparkle!
I used the ProPlayer StickEase for for the title, a bit of Stiching Guide stitching and some Chevron Ribbon that I trimmed in half and fray checked with some Liquid Glass.
I used two other overlays on this layout as well. I cut the Heart background at 11" and used it as a mask to sponge the background with White Daisy ink. Then I cut the arrows out of that large arrow background to add to my stitching guide heart. I'm linking up to the Heart 2 Heart Masking Challenge too!
And finally, since I've mostly been sharing with you no-longer-top-secret artwork from the last month or so, I thought I'd give you a little peek of a project from this week. My family is attending a Mo Willems party at our local library today so I practiced drawing the pigeon (Don't let the pigeon drive the bus! Pigeons can't drive the bus!) until I felt confident enough to attack some plain white t-shirts for the boys with a black sharpie pen. They are thrilled, and can't wait to put them on...I did make them wait until we are headed to the party, because in my world,
small boys+white shirts=mucky disaster
but for Mo (and the awesome scrapbook page to come!) it's all worth it!

OMG, I totally just noticed the Mickey Ears in that die cut. Cool!
Geeky LOVE IT ! You will persuade me to buy ProPlayer even though I'm convinced I don't need it!! :)
Your layout is so nerdy cool! I love all the details. Thanks for masking with us @ H2H!
