Tick Tock Crafty Clock

I figured it's about TIME that I shared one of my more out of the box projects from my Extravaganza booth table top. This is an actual working clock that I built using our 6x6 canvas and the Bracket Frame. I painted the Frame and Canvas using a combo of Pearl Paint and gray acrylic paint using just a plain old cheap sponge brush.
I used Liquid Glass to adhere an Artbooking chevron overlay cut from the computer text ProPlayer B&T over the painted canvas and then trimmed the edges flush to the canvas. I added the clock face using a combo of the ProPlayer Assortment mounted gems and Pixie Glitter Alphabet numbers.
The clock "innards" I bought at Joann's and they were not attractive upon purchase - cheap looking gold plastic did not match my clock, so I painted the clock pieces with silver spray paint and then coated the minute and hour hands with Silver Glitter Glitz and Sparkles. I topped it off with a gem from the new Base and Bling.

I did back the Bracket frame with some Chipboard covered in black cardstock...and make sure that before you adhere that to your bracket frame with a huge thick layer of Liquid Glass and let it dry overnight that you actually carve a tidy hole in the chipboard so you can add a battery to your clock workings easily. Much easier than going back with an exacto knife later and trying to guess where the hole should be. Ahem.

I'm linking this project up to the Get Your Craft On Party over at Today's Creative Blog - if you've been out there you know all the creative goodness oozing out of these parties! If you haven't, well, get on over there and get your craft on!

Time flies when you're having fun - I'll be hanging with my brother and his family, visiting from California this weekend! I hope you've got fun plans, too!
