Diagonals and Glitter Nail Polish

I gotta do a quickie post tonight, because I'm packing up for an all day team meeting tomorrow! I've got my swap card for the meeting tomorrow to share today. I based my card on the Sketchbook Saturday Challenge. Chupa's beautiful cards always inspire, and this one was no exception. I almost never do diagonals either, so this was way out of my comfort zone, but I'm super happy with how it turned out. The background is spritzed with Gypsy ink, and the sentiment is from Banner Wishes.
I pulled my diagonals together using strips of Laughing Lola paper, Sparkle and Shine Washi Tape, and hand stitching with a single strand of black thread. Then I got to do what I love best - build some flowers! I shaped Lola and Black Glitter paper to form my flowers. I also altered basic clear sparkles into glitter gems using glitter nailpolish! I have a ton of shades, and now I can have an excuse to hoard more glitter polish custom glitter gems in any color!  Ahem.
In any case, I always make a few extra when working with the flowers, so I got a bright idea to add some handmade CTMH Paper Candy to my Etsy Shop. That'll be coming soon, but I gotta get back to packing. Until tomorrow Stamping Friends!!

Great idea for glitter nailpolish! I love the diagonal on your card...I don't do that very often either, but might have to try. Thanks for sharing your lovely card with us.

Super idea with the sparkles! You just can't go wrong adding more sparkle to sparkles, lol! Absolutely love how the colors work together with this one, Wendy! Stunning! :)

Fabulous card, Wendy! I like how you have rationalized collecting more nail polish! The effect on the flowers is stunning! Thanks for the inspiration!
