Day 101: You + Me Meant To Be Card

I'm so excited to share my card with you today, using a fun glitter technique I first saw over at Handmade by G3. Coloring over glitter with alcohol markers? That sounds right up my alley!
I'm playing along with the 400th sketch of Mojo Monday, one of my very favorite sketch blogs. Since this week's challenge is also a designer search, I got out my first ever Verve stamp set, called Making a Statement. I just love how Verve does their adorable sentiments! I started with grey wood grain paper, and stamped over it with a You are my happy sentiment in Whisper ink. Then I added a small Doodlebug doily and I stitched around the edges with two strands of grey sewing thread.
I stamped the flower shapes in Memento Tuxedo black ink, and coated them with superfine clear prisma glitter. I burnished it into the flowers to make sure there was no loose glitter, then colored them gently using my Spectrum Noir markers (PL2, PL4, PL5, CT1, CT4. DG2, and DG3). It was so easy, and I love the vibrant look of the colored glitter. I stamped the Verve sentiment onto a white cardstock banner, then stitched the banner on with the same grey thread. A few sweet rhinestone sparkles and my heart was happy...and my craft chair was extra sparkly!
I know that the Mojo team is going to have a ton of really talented choices for their new designers. Every week the challenge gallery is amazing! Being a Mojo Monday design team member would be too much fun, so I'm gonna let myself dream that dream this week. Thanks for 400 amazing sketches, Mojo Monday. Here's looking forward to 400 more!

Such a beautiful card! Love all that glitter and the way the flowers just pop against that awesome neutral background. Thanks for joining in the fun over at Mojo Monday!
