Day 113: Thank You Floral Card

Here's the final card for the simple card class I am designing for my neighbor. She had one of my favorite oldie-but-goodie stamp sets in her new-to-her stamp stash!

This set is called Friendship Blessings. I stamped the base flowers in second generation Sunflower ink, then added the leaves in Garden green and some Chocolate details. I added a band of Smoothie striped washi tape across the center to highlight the sentiment band.

Then I spied Cottage Floral in the box and had to do the card again. I used all the same inks and design, but the feel is very different. 

This exercise in CAS stamping has been fun, but I'm going to be glad to get back to being me this week. Check back tomorrow for a new Atlantic Hearts sketch challenge!

Day 112: Hello Friend Card

I am almost done prepping the simple card class for my neighbor. Today's stamp set blast from the past is It's the Little Things paired with some Elegant Bouquet paper. 

I added the sentiment from Hot Diggity, which was the cutest froggy set that I still can't believe I sold! This is pretty straight up stamping, using Canary, Goldrush, Cranberry, Crystal Blue, and Sweet Leaf inks. 

I love the touch of black against the bright colors of the floral spray. I got to do some scrapping today (that I can share as well as the top secret stuff), so my heart is feeling very happy right now. Hope you are enjoying your weekend, Stampin' friends! 

Day 111: Let Your Light Shine Card

I'm still working on more Clean and Simple cards for my neighbor's shindig that's coming up. 

I used a long retired stamp set called Illuminate for this card, along with some Miracle paper. I'm really cleaning out the stash! I have to admit, this is the hardest style for me. I couldn't resist adding a layer, some glitter, and a bit of inking on the edges. It's good to stretch and try new things, but I still gotta be me!

Day 110: Butterfly Friend Card

Man, am I rushing today! I have been in a whirlwind of activity all day long trying to get my normal stuff done, and finish up all my nighttime blog crafting early plus get ready for my hubby's birthday!

Did y'all see my sweet hubby on Instagram the other day? This photo was taken by Stacy Julian (!) when John popped over just in time to win the Becky Higgin's Hide and Seek game. If you aren't on Instagram, join! It's so much fun! Anyhow, it's this sweet dude's birthday today, so pie and chilequiles must be made, and crafting must be done before dinner time so I can spend the evening with him.  So I made this simple card today:

I used the CAS(E) This Sketch #127 pretty much exactly as drawn. I'm still working on my neighbor's card class, so I wanted to use this sweet butterfly from Find Your Style one last time before it flutters over next door. I stamped it in Cocoa Ink onto some Canary cardstock, then added in darker gold touches on the edges with a marker. I popped that onto some squares of Blossom B&T, following the color cue from ColourQ #294.

Even though this is a beginning card class I couldn't help myself from piercing around the edges of the main stamped element. Can you see the "stitching? White gel pen run over the pierced holes. Even white on white you can still see it in real life, which gives a nice definition to a simple card.

Day 109: Love is Spoken Here Card

This weekend I posted my Stash stamp sale to my Facebook page. I'm working on a card party project for my neighbor, who found quite a few oldies but goodies to rehome. Now I'm putting together some cards using her "new" stamps for her women's group. I love any excuse to play with these lovelies one more time! 

I built this card using the new sketch from Freshly Made Sketches. I stamped the tall flower images from Treasure Life in Whisper Ink. I added strips of washi tape down the left side. Then I stamped the bird from A Tweet in black ink.  

Then I added a couple flowers from A Tweet stamped in Tulip ink. I popped up the sentiment banner and added one last fussy cut flower 'cause I can't help myself. I added a few grey adhesive pearls to finish. Getting to do this project is making it a bit easier to let go of all these stamps!
