Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  We will be featuring November's SOTM, which is called Illuminate, a shining set of 15 stamps.  If you have come here from MARY'S BLOG, you are on the right path!

This month we have dozens of Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM (and other great CTMH products) on their blogs. Hopping is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

This month I drew inspiration from the Muse Card Challenge to create my project. I loved her tree off to one side with the snow bank, so I decided to use the Muse card as a sketch. I tore my White paper to add a little snow bank of my own, and stitched across the bottom of the card to give the effect of little foot prints in the snow. Mayhaps we've read A Snowy Day too often lately? I used one of the tiny light burst images to add "snowflakes" to my background area.

I inked the lamppost in Slate ink and tapped the edges with my black distressing ink pad to add some "metal" interest. The lantern was colored using Honey and Creme Brule alcohol markers, and topped off with a bit of Stardust glitter glitz to throw a halo of glitter around the lantern. I put the glitz in dots around the outside of the lantern and tapped it into the center so the colored stamped image wouldn't get too wet and bubble or smear.

That's my speedy but sweet SOTM card. Now "Hop" on over to NIKKA'S BLOG to see how her creativity is shining! Be sure to visit all the Consultants Blogs to soak in the great crafting and SOTM ideas. Remember, this SOTM will disappear at the end of November, so contact your CTMH Consultant (or click here) to see how you can get this stamp set for just $5!

Nice card. Really like the torn paper piece and how you used the little stamp as a snowflake.

Love that you added some stitching to the card, it almost blends in, but I caught it.
