Atlantic Hearts Sketch 74

I don't know what's up with me and the holiday cards lately, but I've got a couple more for you this week. Today I'm playing with the October SOTM (coming soon!) and the Atlantic Hearts Sketch #74.
I stamped the background repeatedly with the tag image in Cranberry ink onto Cranberry cardstock, then paper pieced a tag to bring out the image on the right side of the card. The bear is paper pieced in 5 layers, which sounds like an absolute pain, but was really quite simple, ad most of the fussy cutting was simple rectangles. There's a coordinating cricut cut for the postage stamp shape too! I stamped him twice in black, once in Cranberry, and once in Sky ink to get all the pieced I needed. His little scarf has some touches of color with a turquoise marker.
I loved how his eyes and cheeks turned out too. I just added a dot of Liquid Glass over his eyes for a teensy wiggly eye effect. For his cheeks I dotted the circle with a red marker, then tapped it with the alcohol blender to fade out the color. Some mini staples on the ruby shimmer trim and black baker's twine were the final touches...on the outside...
On the inside I added a little embossed Cranberry CS pocket to hold a gift card.
Here's the original sketch - hope you'll pop over to AHSC and play along!
