Day 36: Big Heart Layout

Today I have another layout to share. This one focuses on one of our favorite Preschool teachers ever.
It was. of course, a #PICrop challenge that got me going on this layout. I had this cute pic of Max and Tyra for such a long time. But I only got one pic of that Valentine's Party that was even remotely usable, possibly because it was just before we moved and I was a little weepy so all the pics were blurry. When I saw Jen Chapin's sketch using 3x4 pocket scrapbooking cards I knew just which pic I'd scrap!
I used up some super duper old B&T - on the front it was a creamy yellow with Hollyhock dots, but it's so old the name is totally escaping me. It's old enough that the backside was printed in a monochrome of the front print, instead of the full color double-sided prints CTMH does now. Luckily for me, that pink went beautifully with some of my Heartstrings PML cards. I cannot believe this line is going away in just a couple of days. I'm tempted to order more and hoard it!
These canvas letters are also from my stash. I surrounded them with extra Liquid Glass and some glitter pen, and stamped the subtitle letters veeeery carefully with Momento Tuxedo Black ink. Because the pocket scrapbooking cards helped the page come together so quickly, I felt like I had plenty of time to stitch these hearts using the stitch guide. Then I added the punched border accent backed with glitter paper and some red glitter dots.

To all you teachers and caregivers out there, a big thanks from me and my boys. We {heart} your big hearts!
