This sweet but simple pink pinwheel card is the project my team made at our fun team meeting on Monday. I got the sketch for this card from RetroSketches, and I love the sheer versatility of this simple sketch. Check out the linky - every card is totally different, and the sketch calls for two pieces of paper. Genius!
I was inspired to choose my pink and grey colors palette by the current Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger, pictured above. I lined my stars up in the background evenly, like the petits fours in the photo. I might not be done with this Trigger - it's so pretty to look at, but let's see how the time goes this week. I still own my club ladies photos of what we're making on Friday!
My team paper pieced the front pinwheel, cutting out a few lighter pink petals for the pinwheel and adhering them on top of the original stamped pinwheel. Then we layered it all together with foam tape and topped it off with some bling and Stardust Glitter Glitz, of course!
Speaking of bling, I wanted to share a quick peek at some of the awesome metal goodies that Practical Scrappers sent me for my second place finish in their card competition. Thank you for voting, Stampin' Friends. And thanks to Practical Scrappers and the sponsors for my sweet new bling!
